Keith Critchlow Collection: Opening Event

March 21 – March 22

The Abbey is honoured to be connected with the Critchlow family.

Keith Critchlow was a British artist, lecturer, author, sacred geometer, Professor of Architecture, and co-founder of the Temenos Academy in the UK. He passed away on April 8th, 2020, leaving behind an immense and enduring legacy of work.

Please join us on 21st and 22nd March 2026 as we celebrate the life and work of Keith Critchlow through a series of events hosted at the Abbey. The Abbey holds a selection of Keith’s studio works, artefacts, and personal library, offering a rare opportunity to encounter his vision and work first-hand.

Three of his children, along with other family members, will be present to share stories and spend time with all who wish to join us in honouring his life and legacy.

There are three ticketed events (see more detail below). You’re also welcome just to come and spend time in the KCC library and studio.

There will be a pop-up shop selling Keith’s books and artwork, plus a small collection of rare second-hand books on art, philosophy and geometry.

Saturday, 21st March 2026
4:00pm – 6:00pm — Workshop: The First Exercise in Geometry by Keith Critchlow. It will be led by Amanda, Keiths’s middle daugther.
8:00pm – 9:15pm — Film Screening, hosted by Matthew, Keith’s son, featuring a lecture Keith delivered to the Temenos Academy in 2012, entitled: The Geometry of Life – The Flowering World.
