The Abbey was delighted to host a gathering to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the visit of His Holiness The Dalai Lama on Sunday 22nd of October.

His Holiness the Dalai Lama, who is one of the most significant spiritual leaders in the modern world, visited The Abbey on 22nd October 1973. We hosted a very special event to commemorate this anniversary at The Abbey in The Great Hall on Sunday 22nd October 2023. The celebration was led by Lelung Rinpoche (https://www.lelung.org/long-biography). We were also very pleased that Sonam Frasi, the current Representative of His Holiness the Dalai Lama in the UK, was able to join the celebration.
