The Kingdom of God – Discovering your true identity

Jesus Christ did not intend to establish a new religion, rather he came to inaugurate a new level of consciousness that he called the ‘kingdom of God’. The way to this level of consciousness is what in English translations of the gospels is called ‘repentance’.

Repentance is not so much about saying sorry for your sins: it is to transcend one’s limited identities that belong to time and space and to open to one’s eternal identity as a manifestation of the divine. Whereas Christianity says that only Jesus Christ can say, “I am the way, the truth and the life’, we can learn that in this transformed level of consciousness each person can say “I am the truth, the way and the life”. Whereas Christianity teaches that only Jesus Christ can say, “The Father and I are one”, we can learn that Jesus opened this up for every person to realise for themselves.
